What is Botox?

Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin. This advanced neuromodulator is a muscle-relaxing agent. The product has been used in many medical therapies for years, even on children. When used cosmetically, its purpose is to calm motor nerve endings (nerves that lead to muscles). The calming effect of the injections creates a smoother, more refreshed look. MDspa offers natural results with BOTOX in Las Vegas. Whether it is your first time receiving BOTOX injections or you have had injections in the past, we can help you look younger – in the most natural way.

Am I a good candidate for Botox?

The best candidates for Botox treatment are those that are physically healthy with no history of neuromuscular diseases. Candidates should not be currently pregnant or nursing. Some other health conditions could mean you are not a candidate, but our certified Botox injectors will ensure the injections are safe for you before your treatment.

What happens during a Botox procedure?

Botox is injected with a very fine needle, called a micro-needle. This needle is placed directly into the muscles creating the lines and creases on your facial skin. Our injectors have years of experience and comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy. They will pinpoint the exact muscles that are causing lines and wrinkles. There is very little, if any, pain associated with BOTOX injections due to the small size of the needle. You may feel a slight stinging or burning sensation that passes quickly. The entire treatment is performed in-office and is completed within minutes.

When will I see results with Botox?

If you are planning a first treatment, you may not know that the results take a few days to appear. Roughly 48 hours from your injection you will start to notice an improvement in the dynamic wrinkles treated with Botox. The full effects of your BOTOX treatment may not be visible for up to two weeks following the injections. We recommend that you plan well in advance if you are receiving Botox for a special occasion such as a wedding or other engagement where you want to look your best.

Dysport

Dysport is an injectable neuromodulator that is used to treat facial wrinkles, fine lines and other signs of aging. It works by temporarily relaxing the muscles in the face that cause these wrinkles and contours to form.

When injected into specific areas of the face, Dysport blocks signals from nerves to muscle cells, causing them to relax and allowing wrinkles to smooth out. As a result, you may see a reduction in facial wrinkles and lines after your treatment with Dysport. The effects typically last up to 4 months; however, results can vary depending on individual facial anatomy and the amount of Dysport injected.

Dysport is most commonly used to treat wrinkles around the forehead, eyes and brow area. It can also be used to lift up sagging eyebrows and even reduce lines on the neck caused by aging or sun damage. Because it is a non-surgical option for facial rejuvenation, it’s an attractive choice for those looking to reduce wrinkles without undergoing more invasive procedures such as a facelift.

In addition to its cosmetic uses, Dysport has also been shown to have therapeutic benefits in certain medical conditions. It can be used to reduce excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). In clinical studies, Dysport was found to be effective at significantly reducing sweat production when injected into specific areas such as the underarms and palms. It can also be used to minimize the spasms associated with cervical dystonia, a neurological disorder that causes involuntary muscle contractions in the neck and shoulders.

In general, Dysport provides a safe and effective way to reduce or eliminate wrinkles for those looking for an alternative to more invasive surgical procedures. The procedure is typically quick and easy, usually taking no more than 30 minutes per session. Results are usually seen within days of treatment and can last up to 4 months or longer depending on individual anatomy and how much Dysport was administered. As with any medical procedure, it’s important to speak with your doctor prior to beginning treatment in order to determine if it is the right choice for you.
